Root command execution via unsanitized trace-route input
Published Apr 24, 2025 · Updated Apr 25, 2025
OS command injection in PLANET WGS-804HPT-V2 2.305b250121 and earlier and WGS-4215-8T2S 1.305b241115 and earlier allows attackers to run commands. The hidden trace-route handler at dispatcher.cgi?cmd=532 passes the ip_URL parameter into an operating-system command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. The handler normally requires an authenticated session, but a separate authentication-bypass flaw can remove that gate; injected commands execute as root.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
