Code execution via malformed VC6 file parsing

Heap-based buffer overflow in Ashlar-Vellum products before 12.6.1204.204 allows context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary code. The VC6 file parser insufficiently validates user-supplied file data before processing it in heap memory, allowing a crafted file to overrun a heap buffer. Exploitation requires a user to open or import the malicious file, after which code runs with the privileges of the affected application.
