Unauthenticated settings changes via missing capability check
Published Jan 5, 2026 · Updated Jan 5, 2026
Missing authorization in LoginWP Pro 4.0.8.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to change plugin settings without authentication. A settings-update function omits a capability check, and the affected release also lacks the authorization and nonce validation later added by the vendor. Any remote attacker who can reach the WordPress site can modify LoginWP configuration, affecting redirect behavior without reading data or interrupting service.
