Unauthenticated information disclosure via unchecked user lookup
Published Nov 26, 2025 · Updated Dec 4, 2025
Improper access control in RuoYi 4.8.0 allows remote attackers to read user details through the role-authorization endpoint. The authRole method in SysUserController.java calls selectUserById on an attacker-supplied user ID without first enforcing checkUserDataScope, then places the returned user and roles in the response model. Network access and knowledge of a user ID are sufficient, and the exposed data can include accounts outside the permitted data scope.
