Code execution via crafted template asset URL
Published Jun 12, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Path traversal in Google Web Designer before 16.3.0.0407 on Windows allows remote attackers to execute code via a malicious ad template. The template handler accepts a crafted remoteAssets URL that reaches the internal ninja-shell browser API, whose URL parsing permits injection of Chrome launch arguments that load an attacker-controlled executable. A user must download the template, open or use it in the application, and interact with the affected workflow; the payload then runs with that user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
