Administrator credential disclosure via reversible password obfuscation
Published Jul 21, 2025 · Updated Jul 23, 2025
Credential disclosure in CommScope Ruckus Unleashed and ZoneDirector allows remote authenticated users to recover the administrator password. The admin object returned by /admin/_cmdstat.jsp includes x-password, and rks_obf_decrypt recovers plaintext by decrementing each character byte. The endpoint requires a valid session; possession of an affected Unleashed configuration exposes the same plaintext credential separately.
