Root command execution via unsanitized debug argument
Published Jul 21, 2025 · Updated Jul 23, 2025
OS command injection in CommScope Ruckus Unleashed and ZoneDirector allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. The .ap_debug.sh script accepts a crafted duration argument and embeds it unquoted in a root-run rksap_cli command after its numeric check fails open. Access to the restricted CLI's debug script mode is required; successful injection escapes the restricted shell on the controller or a selected access point.
