Sensitive data exposure via executable URL parameter
Published Jul 17, 2025 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Cross-site scripting in Beakon LMS SCORM 5.4.3 allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive browser data through a crafted URL. The SCORM loader processes the URL query value as a navigable resource without rejecting the javascript scheme, causing browser-side script execution. Exploitation requires low-privileged application access and a user to open the crafted loader link; the script then runs in the application's browser context.
