CVE-2025-46094Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via ActionScript path traversal

Published Aug 4, 2025 · Updated Aug 5, 2025

Path traversal in LiquidFiles before 4.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute local files through ActionScript event settings. The path method in lib/actionscript.rb appends a shell-escaped script value to the ActionScripts directory without rejecting traversal components, and execute passes the resulting path to Sudo.exec. An administrator must configure an event ActionScript, at least one ActionScript must already exist, and triggered execution runs as the _actionscript account.
