CVE-2025-46093Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Root code execution via FTP SUID permissions

Published Aug 4, 2025 · Updated Aug 5, 2025

Incorrect permissions in LiquidFiles before 4.1.2 allow remote authenticated users with FTPDrop access to execute code as root. FTP accepts SITE CHMOD mode 6777 on an uploaded executable owned by _sfta, enabling ActionScript execution under that identity and passwordless sudo. Exploitation requires valid FTPDrop credentials and a reachable ActionScript execution path, and grants full control of the appliance.
