Unauthenticated command execution via MIME-only upload validation
Published May 28, 2025 · Updated May 28, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in SourceCodester Web-based Pharmacy Product Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute commands. The add-product.php upload handler trusts the client-supplied Content-Type header, so a PHP script labeled image/jpg passes validation and remains web-accessible. Exploitation requires network access to the upload endpoint and PHP execution in uploadImage; successful requests run commands as the web server account.
