Account enumeration via unauthenticated directory lookup
Published Sep 26, 2025 · Updated Sep 26, 2025
User enumeration in Aranda PassRecovery 1.0 allows remote attackers to identify valid Active Directory accounts via a crafted POST request. The /APRAPI//api/v1/user/existdirectory/1 endpoint accepts a JSON username and returns whether that account exists in the connected directory. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the disclosed consequence is account-name discovery rather than password or directory-data access.
