Arbitrary command execution via crafted MAC parameter
Published Jun 13, 2025 · Updated Jun 13, 2025
Command injection in eight LB-LINK router firmware builds allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via a crafted mac value. The bs_SetMacBlack handler in libshare-0.0.26.so fails to neutralize command delimiters in mac, causing /bin/goahead to execute appended shell text. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation permits router data access, modification, and service interruption.
