CVE-2025-45867Public exploit

Boa crash via unchecked static DNS copy

Published May 13, 2025 · Updated May 14, 2025

Buffer overflow in TOTOLINK A3002R 4.0.0-B20230531.1404 allows remote authenticated users to crash boa via a crafted IPv6 settings request. The formIpv6Setup handler in boa copies an oversized static_dns1 or static_dns2 POST value with strcpy without checking its length, overflowing a stack buffer. The demonstrated request carries a sessionCheck token from an authenticated session, and successful exploitation terminates the router's boa process.
