CVE-2025-45861Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unchecked routername copy

Published May 13, 2025 · Updated May 14, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in TOTOLINK A3002R 4.0.0-B20230531.1404 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. The formDnsv6 handler in /bin/boa passes routername to strcpy into a fixed 324-byte stack buffer when submit=Save and enable_dnsv6=1, without checking its length. A valid sessionCheck token is required; an oversized value overwrites stack control data, and the published demonstration crashes the boa process.
