Authenticated memory corruption via unchecked torrent index
Published May 8, 2025 · Updated May 13, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in ALFA AIP-W512 3.2.2.2.3 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via torrentsindex. The formBTClinetSetting handler passes an unchecked value longer than eight bytes to getbtclientIndex, overflowing a stack buffer. Access to the authenticated BT client settings endpoint is required; the published proof of concept demonstrates memory corruption, not code execution.
