Admin code execution via unvalidated module ZIP
Published May 21, 2025 · Updated May 22, 2025
Code injection in Vtiger CRM Open Source Edition 8.3.0 allows remote authenticated users with admin privileges to execute arbitrary PHP. The Module Import handler accepts an extension ZIP containing PHP without rejecting the executable file, then installs it as a module. Administrator access to the network interface is required; opening the imported module runs attacker-supplied PHP in the server context.
