Unauthenticated FTP access via arbitrary credential acceptance
Published Sep 12, 2025 · Updated Sep 15, 2025
Improper authentication in Audi UTR 2.0 firmware 1.52 allows remote attackers to access its FTP service with arbitrary credentials. The FTP login handler accepts every username-and-password combination instead of validating the supplied credentials. Network reachability to the recorder is the only reported gate, after which recorder data can be read or modified through FTP; no service interruption is reported.
