CVE-2025-45466Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Root access via plaintext SSH credentials

Published Jul 25, 2025 · Updated Jul 25, 2025

Hard-coded credentials in Unitree Go1 firmware Go1_2022_05_11 and earlier allow remote attackers to obtain root access over SSH. The firmware's /run.sh script stores plaintext SSH/SCP credentials that authenticate as root when reused against the robot. Network access through Wi-Fi client mode, Wi-Fi AP mode, or Ethernet is required, after which the attacker can execute code, elevate privileges, and read device data.
