CVE-2025-4545Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated file deletion via traversal-filter bypass

Published May 11, 2025 · Updated May 12, 2025

Path traversal in Ctcms 2.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server files through the template management endpoint. The del function in ctcms/apps/controllers/admin/Tpl.php strips selected dot and slash sequences from the file parameter, but mixed ./ and ../ sequences bypass that filter. Access to the management backend is required; deleting configuration or application files can trigger reinstallation or crash the site.
