Authenticated SSRF via incomplete hostname blacklist
Published May 6, 2025 · Updated May 6, 2025
SSRF in MrDoc 0.95 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to make the server request internal or external URLs. The app_doc/utils.py validate_url function rejects only localhost and 127.0.0.1 before returning every other syntactically valid URL to the upload_doc_img request path. A valid session cookie is required; crafted alternatives such as 127.0.0.2 let the application reach services accessible from the server.
