File disclosure via backup-path traversal
Published May 5, 2025 · Updated May 13, 2025
Path traversal in FoxCMS 2.0.6 allows remote attackers to read files outside the intended backup directory through the restore interface. The restores method in DataBackup.php accepts an attacker-controlled path without adequately restricting resolution to the backup directory. Network access requires no authentication or user interaction, and the reported consequence is limited to file disclosure.
