Unauthenticated file deletion via path traversal
Published May 5, 2025 · Updated May 6, 2025
Path traversal in FoxCMS 1.2.5 allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary server files through the delRestoreSerie method. The public record identifies delRestoreSerie as the deletion locus and CWE-22 as the path-handling error, but does not disclose the accepted parameter or deletion call. No authentication or user interaction is required; deletion is bounded by the web-service account's filesystem permissions and can corrupt content or interrupt service.
