Router crash via overlong ip parameter
Published Apr 8, 2026 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Buffer overflow in D-Link DI-8300 firmware 16.07.26A1 allows remote attackers to crash the router via a crafted ip parameter. The ip_position_asp function accepts an overlong ip value without enforcing a safe length, causing a stack overflow. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation interrupts device availability without reported data disclosure or modification.
