Stored script execution via unsanitized SVG upload
Published Jun 9, 2025 · Updated Jun 9, 2025
Stored XSS in VigyBag 1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a crafted profile-picture upload. The upload handler accepts an SVG profile image containing an embedded script without sanitizing the active content before storage and delivery. Low-privileged account access and a victim viewing the uploaded profile image are required; execution is confined to the victim's browser context.
