Application crash via unchecked scale-offset buffer reads

Heap buffer overflow in HDF5 1.14.6 allows remote attackers to crash applications that process a crafted scale-offset file. H5Z__filter_scaleoffset reads the five-byte header and variable-length minimum value without first verifying that the input buffer contains those bytes. Triggering the fault requires an application to process attacker-controlled HDF5 data; the demonstrated result is an out-of-bounds read and abort.
