Unauthenticated memory corruption via oversized ACL key
Published May 21, 2025 · Updated May 21, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in PLANET WGS-804HPT firmware 1.305b241111 allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via a crafted ACL key. The web_acl_ipv4BasedAceAdd function processes the ipv4Aclkey parameter without enforcing the destination stack buffer capacity, allowing oversized input to overwrite adjacent stack memory. Network access requires no authentication or user interaction; the published assessment limits impact to data disclosure and modification, not service interruption.
