Unauthenticated memory corruption via tacIp stack overflow
Published May 20, 2025 · Updated May 21, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in PLANET WGS-804HPT firmware 1.305b241111 allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via a crafted tacIp value. The web_tacplus_serverEdit_post handler processes the attacker-controlled tacIp parameter beyond the bounds of a stack buffer in the TACACS+ server-edit path. No authentication or user interaction is required; the published material does not establish whether exploitation ends in a crash or controlled execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
