Unauthenticated command execution via unsanitized usbName parameter
Published May 2, 2025 · Updated May 6, 2025
Command injection in Tenda AC9 firmware 15.03.06.42_multi allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via crafted HTTP requests. The formSetSambaConf handler fails to neutralize shell metacharacters in usbName, allowing a backtick-wrapped command sent to SetSambaCfg to execute. No authentication or user interaction is required, and a successful request runs attacker-selected commands on the router.
