Arbitrary command execution via unneutralized pingIp
Published May 2, 2025 · Updated May 6, 2025
Command injection in Wavlink WL-WN530H4 firmware 20220801 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through pingIp. The adm.cgi ping_test function places the pingIp value into a command without neutralizing shell separators, so a semicolon-delimited value runs an added command. The published material leaves authentication requirements unclear: CISA assesses no privileges, while the referenced request includes a session cookie.
