Authenticated command execution via unsanitized enable parameter
Published May 1, 2025 · Updated May 1, 2025
Command injection in Tenda W20E 15.11.0.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands via a crafted request. The formSetDebugCfg handler incorporates the enable parameter into a command without neutralizing shell metacharacters, so a semicolon-delimited value appends an attacker-chosen command. The published exploit authenticates to the router's web interface before reaching the handler; successful exploitation runs commands with the web service's privileges.
