Unauthenticated command execution via unsanitized firmware URL
Published May 1, 2025 · Updated May 2, 2025
Command injection in TOTOLINK CA600-PoE 5.3c.6665_B20180820 allows remote attackers to execute commands through a crafted request. The msg_process function inserts the Url value into a wget command string and passes it to CsteSystem without neutralizing shell metacharacters. No authentication or user interaction is required, and injected commands run in the appliance firmware context through the RemoteUpgradeFW action.
