Unauthenticated command execution via firmware filename
Published May 1, 2025 · Updated May 2, 2025
Command injection in TOTOLINK CA600-PoE 5.3c.6665_B20180820 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands. The setUpgradeFW handler uses the multipart FileName value in a shell command without neutralizing metacharacters, so a filename such as 1;pwd; appends a command. No privileges or user interaction are required; command execution can expose or alter device data without a reported service interruption.
