Incorrect authorization in Nagios Log Server before 2024R1.3.2 allows remote authenticated users to stop Elasticsearch via its API. The system/stop endpoint accepts a valid read-only API token without enforcing administrator authorization and stops the requested Elasticsearch subsystem even while returning an error. Read-only API access is sufficient, leaving log indexing, alert generation, and historical-data retrieval unavailable.
