Administrative takeover via exposed API keys

Published Oct 7, 2025 · Updated Oct 7, 2025

Information disclosure in Nagios Log Server before 2024R1.3.2 allows remote authenticated users to obtain administrative API keys. The get_users API endpoint returns the complete user list, including cleartext API keys, to any request carrying a valid user API token. Any authenticated account can therefore reuse an exposed administrator token to perform administrative API actions and compromise the Log Server deployment.
