Unauthenticated system-file access via FTP confinement misconfiguration

Improper access control in Linksys E2500 firmware 3.0.04.002 allows remote attackers to access system files through the FTP service. The vsftpd configuration enables chroot_local_user, but published material does not disclose the request or logic that turns this setting into access outside an FTP user's intended directory. Network reachability to the FTP service is sufficient according to the published assessment, and compromise can support privilege escalation or internal-network pivoting.
