CVE-2025-44652Network attack vector

Service interruption via unlimited bftpd connections

Published Jul 21, 2025 · Updated Aug 7, 2025

Resource exhaustion in bftpd on NETGEAR RAX30 firmware 1.0.10.94_3 allows remote attackers to interrupt service with many connections. The USERLIMIT_GLOBAL option is set to zero in multiple bftpd configuration files, leaving the FTP daemon without a global concurrent-user limit. The network path is unauthenticated, and successful resource exhaustion interrupts availability without reported confidentiality or integrity effects.
