CVE-2025-44649Network attack vector

Identity disclosure via aggressive IKE exchange mode

Published Jul 21, 2025 · Updated Jul 29, 2026

Cleartext transmission in racoon on TRENDnet TEW-WLC100P 2.03b03 allows remote attackers to disclose identities via IKE Phase 1 exchanges. The racoon configuration places aggressive first in exchange_mode, causing Phase 1 to expose identity material without encryption and enabling offline guesses against preshared keys. Network access to the IKE service is sufficient; the bounded impact is identity disclosure and offline credential recovery, not data modification or service interruption.
