CVE-2025-4454Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via unfiltered MAC parameter

Published May 9, 2025 · Updated May 9, 2025

Command injection in D-Link DIR-619L 2.04B04 allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands through the wake_on_lan mac parameter. The handler reads attacker-controlled input with websGetVar, inserts it into a command string with sprintf without filtering, and passes the result to system. Access requires low-privilege authentication to the network management interface; successful injection runs arbitrary commands on the router.
