Stored script execution via unsanitized brand name
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 15, 2025
Stored XSS in Vehicle Record Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script code via a crafted brand name. The add-brand.php handler stores the brandname POST value without sufficient validation or sanitization, and the Manage Brand edit view renders it as active markup. Administrative access is required to submit the value, and a later visit to the edit page executes the stored script in that visitor’s browser.
