Remote code execution via telnet command injection
Published Aug 25, 2025 · Updated Aug 26, 2025
Command injection in Hitron CGNF-TWN 3.1.1.43-TWN-pre3 allows remote attackers to execute commands through the telnet service. The telnet command handler passes unvalidated prompt input containing command separators to a device shell; the published sequence uses telnet ;sh. Network access to the telnet interface is required, and injected commands run with the telnet user's privileges, exposing settings and data.
