Stored XSS via unescaped site title
Published Jun 2, 2025 · Updated Jun 2, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Cotonti Siena 0.9.25 allows remote authenticated users to inject JavaScript through the site title. The title configuration handler accepts a script-bearing value and persists it without filtering or escaping, after which the value is inserted into page HTML. Administrative access is required to change the title, and the stored script executes for users who view any site page, enabling browser-context data access or content changes.
