Stored script execution via unneutralized forum description
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 16, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in FluxBB 1.5.11 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a forum description. The admin_forums.php save path trims and line-break-normalizes the forum_desc value, then stores it with only database escaping and no HTML neutralization before later rendering. Administrator access is required to plant the persistent payload, and script runs in the FluxBB origin when another user views the affected forum content.
