Application crash via unchecked Phase One split values
Published Apr 20, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in LibRaw before 0.21.4 allows local users to crash an application that processes a crafted Phase One RAW file. In phase_one_correct, tag 0x041f processing uses unchecked split_col and split_row values to select image quadrants beyond raw_width or raw_height. Exploitation requires a host application to decode attacker-controlled Phase One correction metadata, and the CNA bounds the consequence to a service interrupt.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
