Availability loss via unchecked Fujifilm metadata offsets
Published Apr 20, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in LibRaw before 0.21.4 allows local users to reduce application availability via crafted Fujifilm metadata. The Fujifilm 0xf00c path in LibRaw::parse_tiff_ifd subtracts 15 from a matched white-balance table index and reads subsequent RAF entries without first ensuring the index and offsets remain within lenRAFData. Triggering requires crafted metadata to reach local RAW processing, and the CNA assessment limits the reported consequence to reduced availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
