Authenticated file disclosure via objectname path control
Published Apr 22, 2025 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Local file inclusion in LabVantage before LV 8.8.0.13 HF6 allows remote authenticated users to retrieve arbitrary server files. The /labvantage/rc file command accepts an objectname value nested in __pagedirectives and returns the named local file in the HTTP response without restricting its path. A valid session and crafted POST request are required, and the demonstrated request retrieves WEB-INF/web.xml from the server environment.
