Remote code execution via traversed JSP upload
Published Apr 22, 2025 · Updated Apr 25, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in TCPWave DDI 11.34P1C2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code through its web interface. The /tims/rest/files/upload endpoint accepts JSP content without validating its type and honors encoded traversal that places the file in the Jetty web application. The published proof of concept sends a JSESSIONID cookie, although CISA rates privileges as none, leaving unauthenticated reachability inconsistent across public evidence.
