CVE-2025-43916Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authorization code theft via userinfo redirect URI

Published Apr 21, 2025 · Updated Apr 21, 2025

OAuth redirect validation bypass in Sonos Control API through 2025-04-21 allows remote attackers to steal authorization codes. The /login/v3/oauth endpoint treats a registered host placed in the URL userinfo field as valid while the authority resolves to an attacker-controlled host. Exploitation requires a victim to follow the crafted authorization link, authenticate, and approve playback-control-all access; the stolen code enables token exchange when the client secret is available.
