Published May 17, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in CodeRevolution Echo RSS Feed Post Generator 5.4.8.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to write files to the server. The echo_generate_featured_image() function accepts attacker-controlled files without validating their types before storing them. No authentication or user interaction is required; impact is arbitrary server file placement, with code execution when the server executes the uploaded type.
