CVE-2025-43909Network attack vector

Unauthenticated information exposure via DD Boost cryptography

Published Oct 7, 2025 · Updated Oct 7, 2025

Cryptographic weakness in DD Boost in Dell PowerProtect Data Domain allows remote attackers to expose information without authentication. Dell identifies DD Boost as the locus but has not disclosed the risky algorithm, affected protocol operation, or way crafted remote traffic exposes information. No user interaction is required; Dell reports limited information exposure and no ability to alter data or interrupt service.
